Franco Farrugia is a senior lecturer and researcher at MCAST with expertise in the Distributed Ledger Technologies. Mr Farrugia holds a B.Sc.IT, M.Sc.IT from University of Hertfordshire (UK) and a Masters in Entrepreneurship from the University of Malta. The researcher is interested in collaboration with a number of key stakeholders in Distributed Ledger Technologies ecosystem. Apart from his academic work, he forms part of the compliance team at ZBX.one, a Crypto Exchange company established in Malta. In January 2019, Mr Farrugia was awarded a certificate with regards to the Virtual Financial Asset Act legislation issued by MFSA.
